4.4. Installation of Cross Beam Assembly (X-Axis)
Hold the cross beam assembly of SteelTailor CNC portable Cutting Machine carefully and take precautions against any damage to the flexible gas pipes. The electromagnetic valve and the torch assembly have already installed at the edge of the cross beam before delivery. This installation step of SteelTailor CNC portable Cutting Machine will need two persons to work corporately.
Remove the mechanical stop screwed on the rack.
Hold the Cross Beam parallel to the plane of the rails frame and perpendicular to the cover wall of the Central unit of SteelTailor CNC portable Cutting Machine.
Present the edge of the Cross Beam through the opening of the cover wall to the opening of the Central Unit. Pay attention to the orientation of the Cross Beam: the track installed on the Cross Beam must be corresponding to the opening made on the mu-metal protection and the Central Unit of SteelTailor CNC portable Cutting Machine.

Engage the superior and inferior corner of the Beam inside the throat of the guiding wheels inside the Central Unit of SteelTailor CNC portable Cutting Machine.
Exercise a small force onto the Cross Beam to completely engage it till the pinion inside the Central Unit is engaged into the rack and can move freely.
Re-install the mechanical stop on the track
The Cross Beam (X- Axis) is now installed
